Stopover

A street scene from downtown Hong Kong during a stopover: A figure lying still in the center of flux, the glare of lights, the blur of figures passing by, the textures of the city. For this work and for a series of monochrome paintings, I deliberately eschewed color to focus on light and dark shapes and on movement.
